i have recently rebuilt clutch master and slave cylinders. i have tried several times to bleed the system, but to no avail. i have no pressure building up when pumping clutch lever. fluid bleeds out of the valve on slave cylinder, but after about 20 minutes of doing this i still have no pressure building up!
any suggestions?

Possible to have air left in hydraulic line. Bleed it at mastercyclinder bolt.

Reread your post... reads like the bleed valve is being left open all the time.
Need to close bleed valve, pump up handle and hold, open bleed valve, air escapes, close valve, release handle, repeat until air is removed. If valve is open during handle release it will pull air back into system. If bleed as above, still no pressure, I would check fluid level, system for leaks, correctly assembled mastercyclinder. In that order.

i am following those procedures when bleeding the system. the only other place i am assuming that there could be a leak is in the line. if that is so, wouldn't fluid be leaking out of the line at leak?
