I have a 97 Shadow ACE VT1100 with a stuck petcock. It is stuck on "ON" and it won't budge. When I got home I removed the lever cap and used a crescent wrench to turn it to the "OFF" position. When I did this the plastic revited cover bulged a bit and some fuel leaked out and I heard some crunching noise. When in the "OFF" position the petcock didn't leak but now the petcock does not shut off at all. I pulled the fuel line and the petcock just lets the fuel flow.
My question am I OK until my new petcock arrives in a couple of days?
