is there a special tool to remove the cam chain timing hole cap, the one on the right handside on the clutch cover?

Thanks. I figured it would come to that. I took the right side cover of today to take a look at the cam chain, it really hard to determine if the tensioners or the chain are worn. Have you done this job before?

I just got the bike the summer past, it has about 35Km on it. At about 80kms hr if I back off on the trottle I can hear a noise come from the engine, it sounds like a worn tire, not a rattle, its hard to describe. I asked a few question and people said the cam chains and tensioners were bad in those engine, who knows.
I have the engine out to fix it, the chains don't look bad but I'm no bike mechanic, maybe I'll change tensioners and call it a day, what do you think.

You maybe right, it could be something else. I'm a little hesitant to change the timing chain and tensioners, I priced them today and its about $450+ not counting gasket.
Hard to say whats abnormal, I never drove a big v-twin before those v-twins vibration quite a bet anyway. Maybe the noise is there at idle, but I noticed it after backing off on trottle.
