I recently purchased a 98 ACE 750 and today realized that I have never seen the radiator fan on. Is there an easy check? Should the temperature light light up when the key is turned on? I get Oil and Stand lights, but do not see the temp light. I am not having any problems, but want to make sure it stays that way.

It just wasn't hot enough, the engine will get really hot before it will come on, might check your fan by spinning it to make sure a rock isn't stopping the fan from turning, it happens and if there was something stopping the fan check the fuse to see if it's blowen.

Just an FYI...
The switch that turns on the fan can go bad. The new one will cost too much from a dealer. A good replacement that seems to work well is one made for a '91 Honda Civic (Wells SW594) They go for around $16 at auto parts stores. Just thought some may want to know incase theirs goes out.

Have checked. the blade turns.
Will check the sending wire. I just didn't want to get overheated sometime while out. This bike is such a move up from my 83 shadow 500 (don't get me wrong, I really liked it, but my tinkering always seemed to come up with something else that needed work)
FYI Warsaw is the furthest west you can go in Illinois. It's where the three states of Illinois, Missouri and Iowa meet.
