All I've ever wanted is a Fat Tire Bike. I would appreciate any info that would help me find a kit to do this conversion
The only way to do it is to fabricate the swing arm and change the rear brakes to a caliper set up that would be my input. All I've ever wanted is a Fat Tire Bike. I would appreciate any info that would help me find a kit to do this conversion
Stumbled upon this one recently, here’s a VLX 600 with a 240 rear tire. Only took a custom rigid frame and custom rear wheel to make it work................
Eh, it’s not that bad. I run 9.5” hard struts In the rear with a stock seat(no spring) and I don’t really have a complaint, I quite like the rigid rear feel. That VLX has a mono shock under the seat, so it’s probably even comfier than what I ride. And at the end of the day after a loooooong ride, nothing is left of your spine!

Ild my own swing arm for my 2007 shadow spirit and install jack shaft I did my own combertion to 300mm rear tire yes is posib6Not with Honda Shadows, you'll be hard pressed to find more than one person with a 300 tire on the back of one. The swingarm on all of the chain drive models isn't wide enough for the tire itself and the shaft drive models have interference from the shaft drive.
If you want a 300 rear tire you'll need a different bike.
