I saw this post on my local Craig's list.
Does anyone know anything about "AGV sport mesh jacket?"

I wonder if this is a decent buy?

I'm supposed to go look at it tomorrow.
Would you buy it?
Thanks for your input.

hello
yes its a good buy
and a smart alternative to leather
i have the joe rocket and its nice its like your not waring anything
i like the fact that you just break your parts instead of smearing them on the road lol im also getting the pants soon , and just last night bought my wife a rocket to see if its got the liner with it that would be a plus

Looks like a screaming deal, not a flashy design either, a big plus for me.

Mesh jackets are testing better than leather, and are argued as more comfortable.

I like my leather jacket, but I have been thinking of getting a mesh one for summer riding.

I wear a mesh jacket in the spring, summer, and fall and besides being protected from road rash, it also provides me some protection from the sun. I put in the waterproof liner and the thermal liner in the winter and have easily been able to ride with the temps down to around 25Âş F.

Be bold! Just drill your leather one full of holes, then you have a mesh leather one!.... JK :D :D :D

I just go in my wife beater shirt when it gets hot....

That wouldn't be my choice, but the price is right and I ride mesh year round.

I would think that the leather on the sleeves would hold heat, so you'd only get partial benefit from the mesh. I could be wrong on that, and it's got to be better than all leather.

I wear a Cortech Denim with armor. It's well vented, has a mesh lining, and keeps me nice and cool in Summer riding. I recently found out why I like it better than leather. A few days ago I wore the leather to work. Coming in when it's still a little chilly the leather did keep me nice and toasty. However in the afternoon when the temps were closer to 90, I roasted!! No more leather for me lol. Not for Summer riding anyway.

I have a business interest in a Concept Summer Jacket being developed. It's made from Stainless Steel Welded Rings. Though initial road rash protection testing seems promising further tests need be performed before any claims can be published.

A slightly heavier gauge SS ring and larger diameter is being developed than the one pictured. A large jacket at present weighs some 6.6 lbs.

It's for Summer only and really lets the air flow through plus doesn't get hot in the Florida sun at 96 degrees. But there is not rain protection except for carrying a separate rain gear or jacket.

Check out motorcyclecloseouts.com. I got a great deal on a Power Trip Voodoo Mesh jacket last year. You'll be glad you got a mesh, it's really nice in the warmer temps.
