Every place to find them has what plugs to get for a car, but nothing I can find for bikes. Doing searches here I found NGK DPR8EIX-9 would be the ones I want for a 2001 Spirit 1100 but figured I would post just to confirm these are the ones I wanted. Time to get everything i want for the spring now so it's all ready and everything is done when the nice weather does finally get here....(so long of a wait LOL) So are the NGK Iridium IX DPR8EIX-9 the right plugs.

Tried that, but can only get the standard plug DPR7EA-9 on that site, can't find how to get the Iridium plug numbers, must be missing some thing on the site????

Interesting. It had the Iridiums listed for my 84 shadow. I don't know why that should be.

Edit: And I can't find that now, either. Hm. I could swear a few months back I looked up the iridium plug for it on this site... Curiouser and Curiouser.

AH so by bike it doesn't come up but engine it does, Glad I double checked here as the plug is different than what I found searching on here. Thanks a bunch.

When I went to a local auto store to get my Iridium plugs, they didn't have the number I needed (asked), so I asked to get them. They got them in the following day.
Now that it's winter, the bike starts as if it wasn't winter. Starts right up.

the DPR8EIX would have been fine just a little bit colder plug. I've always put spark plugs in without a torque wrench. Like stated before just over hand tight.

I installed a set (6) of Autolite Extreme Sport iridium plugs about three years ago in my 1990 Goldwing SE and have been very pleased with their performance. They are the same part number that fits the 2001 VT1100 Shadows, XS4164. I'll probably get a set for my wife's 2009 Aero, part #XS4163, when the time comes. Got them at O'Reilly Auto Parts for $6 a plug and then sent in for a $2 a plug mail in rebate. Autolite is currently still running the same rebate. Four bucks a plug for iridiums seems like a deal worth trying.

Had a few other things to order so I just put them in the order, Still a decent price and have always liked NGK

but have always put them in by feel before - which is slightly more than hand-tight
When I first got my bike I was checking things out (plugs, air filter etc etc) and whomever installed the plugs must not have been familiar with plugs that have a crush washer and only tightened them a hair past seating which didn’t compress the washer properly. Must have been a Ford mechanic.
