I know this is super rudimentry, but I'm stumped (already broke a dental pic and scratched the s#it out of one cap) - anybody know an easy way to remove these #!*?%$#! plastic caps so I can adjust the bars?

I do a rudimentary way. I use the tip of an ice pick or a straight small pick from Harbor Freight. I just dig it down the edge of the cap as far as I can slip the pick in and the wedge it out. I have gotten a little better at it now. It was a real pain at first. Just use light pressure and be careful. You don't want that to slip and hit you or anything else.

Utility knife works for me...
Use it to go all the way around the cap.
If the cap doesn't come loose, switch to a putty knife which is thicker and with some twisting will lift the cap higher.

" Run a drywall screw straight down the center." I like this idea, Inferno - I did ask for an easy solution! Thanks.
That's an excellent thought, Old Guy... think I might try that too, I mean they're just chromed plastic... (hmmmm... not that that's not true about a lot of my Sabre, though... eh? :ROFLMAO:)
