Where do you keep your bike in the winter?

Just curious what everyone else is doing about making room for the wife to park in the garage. We have two bikes and one garage. I sold the little enclosed trailer I was towing the bikes in. This made a handy place to store them but bigger bikes and now we use a flatbed. We called around this weekend and $100 a month gets you a 5x10 with rollup door and 24 hour access. They are ok with storing bikes in these but it seems kind of expensive. Here in the Pacific NW our riding season is somewhat short.

 Short of snow and ice...it's between my legs. :p When we've had hard winters I still park it in the carport. I put a heat lamp about 14inches from it. I start it everyday, let it warm up, rev it a time or two, roll it back and ride it forward. That way, as soon as the roads are clear...I'm back on it. :-D

I think some of you guys that posted “on the road” missed the operative word Pacific Northwest. It’s just not nice to rub it in like that!!! I stored my Shadow in my garage last year but with the weeks of sub freezing weather we had, I’m moving my HD into a heated garage at the stealership. Considering all the issues I had thawing the bike out last spring, I think it will be worth it.

Biker up dude ;) I've seen people riding Seattle in the winter ... oops I was one of them. Of course getting in & out of the area was freezing! I'll never do that again. But, I keep my bike under my butt year 'round.
Seattle in the winter? It's called rain not snow When it actually snows (less than an inch) in Seattle, the whole town shuts down. They have to borrow snow plows from Eastern Washington because they never use them.

I used to take my BSA, Triumph and then my Norton down the back stairs into my parents basement. Fortunately it was a straight run. A bit tricky to get out in the spring. Back then bikes needed rebuild over the winter and we had no garage. Of course I have seen the odd Harley sitting in a living room. Now our bikes stay in the garage and wife parks Honda Accord in driveway. Its a car.

Now I was thinking that very same thing :)

I store my bike in the same spot every day at home when I am not riding it. A 10x16 shed in my backyard. It's not heated, but that may change if I ever get around to installing electric service out there. Oh, and the bike never sits in there for more than a few days at a time, all year long, unless we get a long spell of precipitation of any kind. I've ridden at temps down into the mid 20s. And that is probably just about my limit in that direction.

What is this word "Winter" you speak of? I've never heard of it.
It's that stuff they get in the panhandle and more often up North, like Oklahoma. You've seen it on TV. It's that fluffy white stuff and sometimes the water gets really hard and slippery. I've seen this "Winter" a few times in my life. Weird stuff.
