OK here is what I'm trying to achieve. BRIGHT LED running lights on rear. Here is my idea, since rear turn signals are not running lights buy front and install on the rear, wire running light into running light wire going to tail light and then install 48 LED cluster lights. I will need red lens on the rear. My only question is will the front turn signals mount on the rear, has anyone done this? When looking at micro fiche they look the same as far as mounting, local dealer hasn't done this before either. Wife has the 48 LED cluster LEDS on her sportster and they are super bright... pricey but bright! Anyone have other ideas?

You have to have a 1157 type light(3 wires ,2 lights) to do this like in most brake lights .A 1156 type in most rear signals will have 2 wires 1 light. If you connect the tail light and the turn together the turn (front and rear)will not work but the light on the turn signal will light all the time the lights are on, no flashing. Its only one light. I don't know why they come this way, there are adapters for this but they cost more. I hope this helps.

Ramie that's what I have now and they are not bright enough for me after installing the 48 LED on my wife's Sporster and seeing how bright they are.
Steve C that's why I wanted to buy front turn signals for the rear, front is running ( 1157 bulb ) lights.

I used a 2-wire setup (LED's in my hardbags) and used the Kuryaken RTB module. That way when you press your brakes, it flashes all three lights. When you have a turn signal on, though, it doesn't just try to brighten one of the bulbs like a 3-wire solution would, it actually cuts out the signal and lights it back up so your turn signal turns on and off, not bright and super-bright. Keeps all three as running lights as well. You could wire it up to do all that yourself with a few well placed relays, but the kit wasn't that expensive.

Soon will be changing out lights on both my ACEs.
I'm going with flat LEDs from Strobes'N' More, that I can bolt to my windshield & to my bags.

I have the 1157 Custom Dynamics Clusters for the rear

and 1157 Custom Dynamics Ringz for the front-

mounted in new chrome Chris Products signal housings, with clear lens-

All used less than a thousand miles.

If you haven't bought Clusters yet....PM sent.

I will have 2 sets of each for sale soon.

Great lights; just making a style change.
